Junipalooza is back and it’s going to be pretty epic – London here we come!

Junipalooza is back to celebrate World Gin Day and again this year it’ll all be about the experience. This festival of gin marks one year since we launched our Symphonia gin range and what a year it has been

THIS weekend is all about gin and Ulrich is heading back to London to Tobacco Dock to celebrate World Gin Day 2019.

It was on World Gin Day last year that we launched Symphonia Dry Gin, Apple Gin and Fruit Cup and what a year it has been since.

Since Symphonia’s launch, our Dry Gin, Apple Gin and Fruit Cup has been going down a treat at festivals, markets and fairs as well as in off-licences, pubs, restaurants and hotels so it’ll be a pleasure to head back to London to where it all officially began.

This year’s Junipalooza will take visitors inside the minds of the makers as party goers get hands on as they learn more about the spirit.

Last year, we were one of the newcomers. This year, we are going back to join over 60 gin distillers and our range will be three of the 200 gins on offer.

This festival is very much one of a kind. Like all distillers we will be there to meet and greet and talk to people about our Symphonia gin range, and, to top it off, all gins you sample will be free and you can choose trying gins neat or choose a tonic which will be included in the price of your ticket.

Junipalooza is a great chance for people to hear the stories, dreams and ideas that have gone into each spirit being served up.

It certainly will give us the opportunity to chat one on one with consumers. We get the chance to tell our story and Ulrich’s journey from being a scientist to a gin distiller is a story which has been capturing the attention of consumers over the past year.

Ulrich spent 30 years working in the pharmaceutical industry before turning his skills to producing gin. He combines his knowledge of chemistry with his passion for the Irish countryside to create the Symphonia range.

Symphonia Dry Gin, is a beautiful harmony of flavours including basil, rose and dandelion flowers. Symphonia Apple Gin is a gin made from Armagh Bramley Apple which blends seamlessly with juniper to create a crisp, refreshing spirit. Symphonia Fruit Cup, is a summer fruit drink inspired by the raspberries and strawberries grown in our garden, it’s lower in alcohol than the gins and perfect served long for sipping on a sunny day.

So, if you are in London, definitely come along this Saturday and Sunday. You’ll get a tasting glass as soon as you arrive, a show guide, some water and then you will venture off on a four hour gin odyssey.

This is Junipalooza’s sixth year and it is growing year on year. There will be some stellar food options at the festival. Organisers are making sure you’re going to be well watered and those attending be presented with more opportunities for mixing your gin than you ever thought possible.

Chin chin folks. See you in London!

NOTES TO EDITOR:

  • Symphonia is a range of handcrafted Irish spirits celebrating produce grown in the Irish countryside. The sophisticated Dry Gin is of exquisite complexity. The crisp Apple Gin is made using Co Armagh Bramley Apples and the Fruit Cup is a delicious summer fruit spirit drink. Symphonia is distilled at The Woodlab Distillery by Dr Ulrich Dyer who uses cold distillation to preserve flavours which are lost during traditional distillation.
